In 2013, Stephanie Friede and Ann Engels took the initiative to invite internationally renowned teachers to participate in an intensive course for singers with an emphasis on vocal training, acting, and body work.

The SSCB is an initiative of the non-profit organization Fabuleux.

The American soprano Abbie Furmansky, came to prominence in Europe as an ensemble member at the Deutsche
Oper Berlin, where she quickly established herself in the lyric soprano repertoire.
Admired for her spirited stage presence and the luxurious timbre of her voice; she has worked with leading conductors and has appeared throughout Europe and the United States with great orchestras.
Thomas Michael Allen was born in Chicago and started his music studies as pianist. He later on studied for a master degree in Voice at the Manhattan Scholl of Music in New York.
Allen sang in different operas in Paris, Brussels, Tokyo, Lyone, Athenes, New York, Washington, Zurich and Dresden. Recently he recorded his own CD.
Gary Jankowski's performances are characterized by great musical sensitivity, a strong, clear, mellifluous voice, and an imposing presence that he brings to a growing number of international stages, concert halls, and radio broadcasts.
After studying at Indiana University and learning his craft in the regional theaters of the USA (for example as Sarastro, Osmin, and Il Commendatore), Seattle-born Gary Jankowski moved to Germany in the mid-1990s.
Stephanie Friede, one of the most in demand international Sopranos, was born in New York City and is a graduate of Julliard and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
Important appearances during the last years include: "Minnie" in Puccini’s LA FANCIULLA DEL WEST, e.g. at the New National Theatre, Tokyo, the New York City Opera, at the Vlaamse Opera, Antwerpen.
Stephanie Friede has appeared regularly at the Zurich Opera e.g.as "Minneleide" in Pfitzner’s ROSE VOM LIEBESGARTEN, in the title role of Strauss’ SALOME.
She has been teaching the Alexander Technique and movement for over 30 years in academic and private settings.
Her extensive experience working with singers and singing teachers includes being on faculty at Perleberg, Germany's Lotte Lehmann Academy for Singers.
She is currently serving on the board of the American Society for the Alexander Technique.
Piano, harpsichord, singing coach. Walewein Witten does it all. For years he was working for different operas, he also plays chamber music. He studied at the Royal Conservatory of Ten Hague in the Netherlands. For more than 17 years he is working with singers. His love for singing and the opera lead him to become singing coach. He worked with different singers and the last years he was singing coach for different opera productions.
We are offering a full course (group A) and a smaller version (group B). The A-group is intended for singing students and aspiring professionals. Group B is intended for talented amateurs.

16 h - Meet and greet. Participants in the full course will be required to sing an aria or an art song of their choice. The singers in the small course are also welcome to sing, although it is not a requirement.
